The focus of the Adult Social Care Partnership Board is to act as an advisory group on adult services
| The Adult Social Care Partnership Board was formed in 2006 and it has it has a long history of providing high quality services for vulnerable people. It also encourages fresh thinking and new approaches to social services. |
Aims and priorities
The ASCPB aims to meet the needs of individuals and their communities. It helps more residents to access accommodation of their choice and reduces the need for institutional care. It also gives individuals more freedom to manage their care through self-assessment. We want people to have more control over decisions which directly affect them: this has been found to make them happier and healthier.
For the diverse range of people who need supported care, we tailor services to be sensitive for everyone in the community.
Challenges ahead
In the coming years, the needs of older people and vulnerable adults will be identified and needs met in an affordable and effective way. We will build on our successes and ask our users how we can serve them best in what will be a difficult economic environment.
