The North East: A good place to grow old?

This conference will focus on the agenda for older people in the region and consider the implications of the Comprehensive Spending Review and local restructuring of local authorities and health services. The purpose is to capture people’s experiences to date and their concerns about the future. We will also explore ideas and solutions for the way forward and consider what Years Ahead can do to address key issues and concerns.
The event should be of major interest to older people themselves and to those concerned with developing policies and services that affect older people.
