Sunderland Partnership is hosting a briefing on a exciting new project called Connect Yourself.
Funded by the Department for Education, the Connect Yourself programme aims to enable young people to connect themselves to opportunities that identify, develop and promote their talents and achieve their future goals.
It brings together the positive approaches and programmes of Foyer Federation, Youth at Risk and Changemakers to work with young people and their communities to build a network of opportunities for young people to connect with.
This is a significant initiative funded and running over two years and to maximise the impact if will be important to make links with other policies and key projects such as the recent ESF award to assist with youth employment, education and training. It will also be important that we encourage staff to participate in this highly challenging but deeply rewarding process to support some of our most vulnerable young people.
| The event will be held at University of Sunderland, Gateway Building No 20, Gateway Room 6, Level 2 ,On Monday 6th June, starting at 1pm and finishing at 2pm. |
Clare Turnbulll from Youth at Risk will provide a presentation on the initiative, the expected outcomes and how you and your staff can engage with this process.
