Anyone living in or wanting to live in Sunderland should have a decent home at a price they can afford, in a place where they want to live. Housing is the cornerstone of any sustainable community and better housing will mean more people choose to stay in Sunderland. |
The Sunderland Partnership recognises the importance of culture to the creation of a lively economy in the city. Culture can be used to help people develop skills, and support the creation of jobs.

Our digital projects and initiatives are driven by the needs of our communities. By generating interest in new technology, we will improve social cohesion, economic wellbeing and quality of life in the community |
The city’s image fundamentally influences how it is perceived, locally, regionally, nationally and internationally. The Partnership recognises the importance of marketing the city as a key driver in its economic transformation.
Improving perceptions of the city will help to encourage new residents, businesses, students and visitors to come to the city.

Sunderland has a long history of international engagement, developing links with St Nazaire in France, Essen in Germany, Washington D.C in the USA, and, more recently, with China and East Asia.
The Partnership will continue international engagement to support our vision for change.
