Our shared vision…
The Sunderland Partnership has a shared vision to create a better future for everyone in Sunderland and our partners are committed to making Sunderland...
A welcoming, internationally recognised city where people have the opportunity to fulfil their aspirations for a healthy, safe and prosperous future.
This long-term vision for Sunderland is set out in the Sunderland Strategy 2008-2025, the city's sustainable community strategy which details what the people who live, work and study in the city today would like to see by 2025.

Moving towards the vision…
Whilst the Sunderland Strategy sets out the long-term vision for the city, the Local Area Agreement (LAA) 2008-2011 sets out the short-term focus for partnership activity and resource allocation.
The LAA builds on extensive consultation and includes the issues residents are concerned about. The issues relevant to businesses, partners from all sectors and many others are also taken into account. Click here to view the Local Area Agreement
